During his career, Alexander Emelianenko has repeatedly met truly enormous opponents. And today we will tell you about one such fight, which fans in our country have almost never heard of. After all, it took place far from the world’s leading mixed martial arts arenas.
This fight took place on October 19, 2007, at the Canadian Hardcore Championship Fighting tournament. It turns out that such a promotion also existed abroad, which appeared almost 14 years before tournaments with a similar name appeared in Russia.
In the main fight of the evening, Alexander Emelianenko met with 150-kilogram American fighter Dan Bobish. While studying at the university, Dan won the national wrestling championship, after which he worked as a bodyguard and was a sparring partner for Mike Tyson. Since 1996, he has performed in mixed martial arts, fought in the UFC and Pride tournaments, and also won the King of the Cage champion title.
