The master of hard and brutal knockouts, Busurmankul Abdibait Uulu, is now well known among fans of mixed martial arts in the post-Soviet space. The popularity of the fighter from Kyrgyzstan was brought to him by his hurricane attacking style and ability to conduct spectacular stand-up fights. He was the main contender for the M-1 Challenge championship belt before 2020 came and the tournaments stopped. Today he is a recognized star and a top-level fighter. But his story in our organization began quite unexpectedly and dramatically.
The M-1 Challenge 83 tournament took place in 2017 in Kazan, and five days before it, Alexey Nevzorov suffered a knee injury, who was supposed to fight with the powerful Brazilian striker Diego Davella. He had a lot of titles in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and luta livre, and in the mixed martial arts arena he won 18 victories in 24 matches, and in the first fight in the M-1 Challenge he defeated Zalimbek Omarov.
On short notice, only the young Kyrgyz fighter Busurmankul Abdibait Uulu agreed to fight such a formidable opponent, who in his professional career won 8 early victories and suffered only three defeats by decision of the judges.
At the weigh-in, the guys exchanged significant menacing glances and harsh remarks addressed to each other, so the fight was expected to be very hot.
