When two real heavyweights with a powerful punch meet each other, fans have the right to expect not only a spectacular fight, but also a heavy knockout with a high probability. However, there are stories when a fighter seems to remain on his feet and conscious, but the damage received from the opponent’s heavy and accurate blows does not allow him not only to continue the battle, but also serves as a reason for long treatment and recovery. It’s not for nothing that the main parting words for all martial artists before fights are the simple but very important words “The main thing is no injuries.”
In 2009, Kirill Sidelnikov was already well known among mixed martial arts fans as a student of Fedor Emelianenko and one of the most talented heavyweight prospects in our country. On September 5, as a member of the Red Devil team, he took part in one of the stages of the Russian team championship M-1 Selection. Kirill already had 9 professional fights and several memorable knockouts in which he sent his opponents.
His opponent was a heavyweight from the Sochi Star team, Ibragim Ibragimov, for whom this fight was his debut in the professional arena. However, he was a formidable and fearless opponent, who possessed not only a terrible blow, but also the titles of champion of Dagestan and the Southern Federal District in combat sambo.
