WSOF25 was held on Nov 20, 2015 at Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, AZ and the event featured a one night, 8-Man Lightweight Tournament to crown a No. 1 contender for the WSOF Lightweight Championship. The tournament consisted of eight fighters including Islam Mamedov, Mike Ricci, Joáo Zeferino, Rich Patishnock, Jorge Patino, Brian Cobb, Brian Foster and Luis Palomino.

Although Foster (25-8) was bounced early from the WSOF25 event when he was submitted by Zeferino, it was Foster, who returned as an injury replacement, who beat Zeferino in the final round to win the tournament.
