World amateur MMA champion Zaur Gadzhibabaev came back to M-1 RAGE not so long time ago before this fight when he heavily knocked Nikolay Savilov out at M-1 Challenge 86. Zaur is very well-rounded and talented fighter who can grapple and strike equally good.

This time his opponent was two-meter tall sambo fighter Anton Vyazigin aka “Cherepovets Giant” who was on three-fight winning streak before he took on Philip de Fries and lost by split decision. So young heavyweight was going to climb back to his position and win against highly ranked opponent to get the title shot.
