July 22, 2017 – Traditional annual “M-1 Challenge: Battle in the mountains” event took place in Republic of Ingushetia. In the main event of the evening M-1 Challenge bantamweight title was on the line.

Pavel Vitruk had a lot of the titles in the different striking disciplines, like three-time St.-Petersburg muay thai champion, national UKADO champion, winner of Alexander Nevsky Cup and Warrior Spirit Grand Prix. Almost all of his pro fights he fought in M-1 and he was the inaugural M-1 Challenge bantamweight champion, it was the first title defense for him.

Pavel’s opponent was Movsar Evloev, the rising star of Russian MMA. He fought all 7 of his pro fights in M-1, won in all of them, only one fight, against the experienced Lee Morrison, went the whole distance. Movsar shown the progress in fighting technique and physical power with each new fight, so this day he was ready to challenge the champion and do everything to become the new king of the division.
