Clash of the different styles and fighting schools – grappling against striking technique, British MMA against Russian MMA, two young and ambitious fighters – that’s enough for very promising fight.

May 2, 2015 – The fight between Dez Parker and Alexey Kunchenko was the part of M-1 Challenge 57 event in Orenburg. British fighter was ground specialist and won the medals of the multiple prestigious international grappling tournaments. Dez was quite successful in amateur MMA, having nine victories, one draw and one defeat in 11 fights, then he decided to turn pro and won in four of his five fights, all victories were by stoppages in the first round.

His opponent was already well-known to Russian fans local hero Alexey Kunchenko who was the national hand-to-hand combat champion and silver medalist of the national amateur MMA championship. He was undefeated in his pro career, 8-0, and only one of his opponent managed to survive until the judges’ decision. The rest of the opponents were finished by Alexey, six times by KO and and one time by submission.
