2011 was the year when M-1 organized a lot of international events across the globe. One of them was Eastern European HW Grand prix where the winner got the chance to become #1 HW title contender.

Today we are going to tell you about the quarterfinal bout of this Grand Prix. National taekwondo champion and winner of the multiple international taekwondo tournaments Ruslan Stepanyan took on experienced Denis Komkin who was regional sambo and judo champion and also regional mixfight champion – the title that he earned in 2004.

Both fighters were strikers and were looking for the fast and beautiful KO victory.
