The hometown hero exploded off the blocks, setting up takedowns with his scintillating wushu striking. Though “The Kerala Krusher” rallied in the second round, Banario remained composed and was on the verge of stunning submission finish in the third stanza only to be denied by the bell. In the end, the decision was left in the hands of the judges, who awarded the former ONE Featherweight World Champion the unanimous decision win.
