The lightweights and featherweights entered the 2019 PFL Playoffs October 17, where they had to Fight Twice and Win Twice in the Same Night to advance to the PFL Championship. In the featherweight division, 2018 Champion Lance Palmer remained undefeated in PFL competition, defeating Alexandre Almeida and Alex Gilpin once again. Gilpin pulled off a highlight reel submission against Andre Harrison in his first fight of the night before coming up short against Palmer. Palmer’s opponent at the 2019 PFL Championship is Daniel Pineda, the Cinderella Story of the division. The #7 seeded Pineda knocked out previously undefeated Movlid Khaybulaev and submitted Jeremy Kennedy to earn his Championship spot. Kennedy got revenge against Luis Rafael Laurentino in his first fight of the night.

In the lightweight division, 2018 Champion Natan Schulte continued to shine in the PFL. The Brazilian choked out both Ramsey Nijem and Akhmed Aliev to secure consecutive trips to the PFL Championship. Schulte will face Loik Radzhabov, who defeated Islam Mamedov and Chris Wade, in the 2019 Lightweight PFL Championship on New Year’s Eve. Watch the full highlights from the PFL Playoffs.
