Muay Thai phenom Muangthai P.K. Saenchaimuaythaigym did not disappoint in his debut on the global stage, toppling a game Panicos Yusuf on the strength of a massive first-round knockdown. Yusuf came out aggressive and was initially controlling the action, but the “Elbow Zombie” quickly showed how he earned his nickname, coming forward and returning fire from close-range. Muangthai’s best shot was a stiff left that floored Yusuf at the end of Round 1, and after two more frames of back-and-forth striking, the 24-year-old Thai had done enough to earn the judges’ decision. Muangthai returns to action against Kenta Yamada at ONE: DREAMS OF GOLD in Bangkok.
