An online sports arm of Brazilian media giant OGlobo has a big announcement about the second seaons of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil, which airs on TV Globo in March of 2013.

According to reliable sources, heavyweights Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum have verbally agreed to be coaches on TUF Brazil 2, with only small contractual issues remaining unresolved.

Contestants for the show will be in the welterweight (170) division. As is usual for the series, the winner gets a UFC contract, and the coaches fight in the show finale.

The two names were a surprise, as most thought it would be light heavyweights Lyoto Machida and Mauricio Shogun facing off for a rubber match, after splitting wins in title bouts at UFC 104 and 113.

This will be the second time Big Nog and Werdum fight. Nogueira took a unamimous decision win over Werdum at Pride: Critical Countdown Absolute back in 2006.

Both fighters have previously appeared on TUF. Nogueira was a coach vs. Frank Mir on season 8, winning the team championship, but losing the fight in the second via strikes. Werdum appeared as an assistant coach for team Wanderlei in the first TUF Brazil.
