May 25, 2013 was the day when Legend promotion made the huge event in Moscow.
The main event of the evening was the fight of Alexander Emelianenko who was announced as his comeback to the professional sports. After the upset defeat against Jeff Monson at M-1 Challenge 35 event in 2012 Alexander mentioned the possible retirement. A few months after that Emelianenko spent at Afon in Greece. After that he told that the advises he took from the local monks forced him to continue his fighting career. Six months later he stepped into the ring again.
His opponent was very colorful and doubtful from the fighting point of view. Bob ”The Beast” Sapp is a former american football player who started to fight in 2002 and was quite successful at K-1 and Pride FC events. His furious style, charisma and brutal look made him unbelievably popular among the fans in Japan. In 2009 Bob started to fight in the different promotions around the world, and that’s the time when his beast aura stated to fade, because he lost one fight after another. By the time of the fight with Alexander Sapp lost 11 fights in a row, but his image of The Beast was still present. He tried to start the fight at the weigh-ins, always made dangerous look and made a few interviews where he claimed that he will destroy Russian. In other words, Bob used all the tricks from his pro wrestling arsenal to get at much attention to the fight as possible. But the problem was that the fight was as real as it gets, and his opponent had no intentions to give up.
