For each of the fighters, this was the moment of truth. Nureles Aidarov entered the fight literally the day before the weigh-in, replacing the Romanian fighter Paul Marin. He was a finalist of the Russian Oriental Championship, winner of the Time To Fight and The Old Guard Fight Club tournaments. His record included two victories in two fights, both by knockout in the first round.

Oleg Lichkovakha collected an incredible number of awards for his twenty-one years in grappling, pankration and amateur mixed martial arts. After which he began to perform quite successfully in the professional arena.

It was a classic fight between a striker and a wrestler.
