Recently, two videos were released on our channel, in the title of which karate was mentioned. And if the Merry Karate Player Vasily Kozlov, as in his first video, collected millions of views with positive reviews and did not cause any special questions from our viewers, then the battle of Alexander Emelianenko with a huge karate player gave birth to a whole bunch of them and they were all in the same style – and where was the karate player, we didn’t see him. It’s probably a little easier to write such a comment than to type in the name of Jesse Gibbs in Google and find out that he is a three-time Dutch champion and a three-time European champion in Kyokushin.
In general, these guys made a good company for our math teacher and part-time four-time world champion in karate Ingiskhan Ozdoev. Well, today we decided to remember the very first representative of this sport, who performed at the M-1 tournaments. It was 15-time Italian and European full-contact karate champion Ronnie Rivano, who came to the very first tournament under the auspices of M-1, the very same European Championship in mixed martial arts, which took place on October 1, 1997 in St. Petersburg. Ronnie fought in the four-man tournament in the weight category up to 76 kg and in the semi-final he was opposed by St. Petersburg kickboxer Nikita Abramov. In the other semi-final, Sergey Bychkov and Rodney Faveros fought and there was real trash, frenzy and chaos. The video about that fight has already been published on our channel and will be available via the link in the description or hint.
