Muay Thai icon Petchmorakot is already recognized as one the very best strikers on the planet and he cemented that status with a dominating display in his kickboxing debut. The Thai superstar immediately went on the offensive from the sound of the opening bell, landing an assortment of kicks and punches. However, realizing that he was outworked in the first stanza, Kenta Yamada came back with a vengeance as he dialed up the pressure in the second round with a series of low kicks. Though both men had their moments across three pulsating rounds, it was Petchmorakot who seemed to have the upper-hand in the majority of the exchanges as he claimed a unanimous decision victory. With that win, he punched his ticket to the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix.
