On June 15, 2017, the M-1 Challenge 80 anniversary tournament took place in Harbin, China. The strongest Chinese mixed martial artists competed against a team from around the world. One of these bouts was the fight between Mikhail Korobkov and Askerbay Jinsibek. The talented and flamboyant Russian fighter from the Ryazan club “Arta” was scheduled to face a rising star of Chinese mixed martial arts, who was cheered on by the thousands of fans gathered at the stadium that evening.
