Denis Smoldarev, a giant from Estonia, has been playing in the ACA promotion arena for about six years now, having spent 14 fights there and being one of the most recognizable heavyweight figures. And he began his fighting career in our country in 2011, signing up to compete in the heavyweight Grand Prix M-1 Selection.

For his very impressive dimensions, Denis has always been distinguished by high speed and a variety of techniques, fighting with equal success both in the stance and on the ground. To his credit, he had both the title of European champion in combat sambo and victories in international K-1 tournaments. Denis immediately won four confident victories under the banner of M-1 Global and became one of the main stars of the organization in the heavyweight division.

But in February 2014, at the M-1 Challenge 45 tournament, he first encountered an opponent whose size, strength and talent were in no way inferior to his own. They became the Croatian heavyweight Ante Delia, nicknamed “Walking Trouble”, who is now the winner of the Grand Prix of the American PFL tournament, and at that time was the main heavyweight prospect in Croatia and by the age of 23 he had ten fights in the professional arena, winning in nine of them, and in eight – ahead of schedule.
