At the 2024 IMMAF World Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia’s Malik Basahel announced he would be competing as an amateur for a final time before going pro with the PFL.
Basahel’s first bout of the tournament would see him matched up with IMMAF Asian silver medallist Nurlan Tleumbetov, in a much-anticipated flyweight clash.
