The new era of UFC begins on January 24, 2026, when Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett collide for the interim lightweight championship at UFC 324 in Las Vegas.

This historic event marks the first UFC card to stream on Paramount+, and the promotion has pulled out all the stops with a championship doubleheader that promises fireworks.

Gaethje, the former lightweight champion and perennial contender, enters the bout looking to prove he’s still the most dangerous striker at 155 pounds. His fan-friendly style and devastating leg kicks have made him one of the most beloved fighters in UFC history.

“I’ve been fighting the best in the world for years,” Gaethje said. “Paddy talks a lot, but talking doesn’t hurt. My kicks do.”

Pimblett, the brash Liverpudlian who has captured the hearts of British fans worldwide, sees this as his coronation. Despite criticism about the level of competition he’s faced, Pimblett has consistently delivered finishes and proven doubters wrong.

“This is my moment,” Pimblett declared. “I’ve said from day one I’d be champion, and now I’m going to prove it.”

The co-main event features an equally compelling matchup as Kayla Harrison defends her bantamweight title against the returning Amanda Nunes in a clash of former teammates and Olympic-level grapplers.

With undisputed champion Ilia Topuria watching from the sidelines due to legal issues, the winner of Gaethje vs Pimblett will position themselves for the ultimate prize in the lightweight division.
