Vladimir Mineev is currently one of the strongest and most popular fighters in Russian mixed martial arts. From a young age, he was engaged in percussion martial arts and won a huge number of titles in kickboxing. Vladimir became the champion of Russia, Europe and the world, and also won and defended belts in the most prestigious world versions of professional kickboxing.
Vladimir served on a contract basis in the 31st Guards Brigade of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation and since 2021 he has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Central Board of the Union of Russian Paratroopers for physical culture, sports and martial arts.
In 2014, he made his mixed martial arts debut and began his rise to superstar status with the Fight Nights Global promotion. Mineev knocked out the first three opponents in the first round and in the fourth fight he met with the powerful and uncompromising Croatian grappler Josip Peritsa, who had five wins in six fights. This fight took place in April 2015 in Khabarovsk at a joint tournament of the Far Eastern Pankration Federation and Fight Nights.
