In the history of M-1 Global, there have been a lot of really hard, furious and hardest knockouts. The fighters sent each other to the canvas unconscious with the most powerful blows of fists, knees, and even haikiks. But when it came to the ground and pound, the fight usually had time to stop the judges and it ended in a technical knockout. However, this was not always the case.
On August 5, at the international tournament M-1 Challenge 60 in Orel, two fighters met in a rage, who managed to prove themselves in a number of different tournaments, including Russian ones, before reaching the debut in the M-1 Challenge. The textured Croatian fighter Josip Artukovic had 15 professional fights by the age of 30, 11 of which he won, and only one of them lasted all the time allotted for the fight. A master of ground wrestling, he preferred to end his fights with spectacular chokes and painful holds.
His rival was the winner of the Legionfight and Pro FC tournaments Denis Genyuk from the Legion club in Rostov. Behind him were victories in various pankration tournaments, the most significant of which was the victory in the Black Sea Cup and the bronze of the 2014 World Championship, which allowed the young athlete to win the title of master of sports of international class. In the professional arena of mixed martial arts, he achieved 6 victories in 10 fights and he approached the fight against the Croatian fighter with a series of 3 victories.
