UFC lightweight fighter was arrested by the police in the getaway car after the robbery. The prosecutor tells us that 3 persons robbed the luxury fashion boutique Bottega Veneta in Stockholm in the early hours of Friday 24th. They managed to take bags for $150.000 and flee in the car but were arrested after a wild car chase by the police. Reza Madadi is now suspected for robbery and is risking 6 years in jail if convicted in court.
His lawyer Ivan Fialdini told us his client is innocent and is denying all involvement in the incident. What’s makes this news extra strange is that Reza Madadi just fought in Stockholm and won his fight against Michael Johnson. He also got a $50.000 bonus on top of his salary. If he is convicted his career in UFC and martial arts will be over for good. He is turning 35 years old 1 month from now. He has also won people’s choice award in Sweden several times for the most popular martial artists and has been an inspiration to many young kids in Sweden.
We just can’t understand why someone would throw away everything for a crime that doesn’t even pay what he makes for a single nights job in UFC. Unbelievable!
