Nothing was going to stand in the way of Keanu Subba’s dream of reaching the global stage of martial arts. Though he was unable to afford a gym in the United States, Subba relied on his innate creativity as he and his brothers improvised with a pair of gloves from Wal-Mart and YouTube tutorials. However, his stay in North America came to an abrupt end in 2016. Returning to his native home country to be by his cousin’s bedside, Subba was determined to forge ahead with his martial arts pursuits in honor of his beloved relative. Competing with his late cousin in his heart, Subba will now look to turn in a performance of a lifetime to overcome the might of Japanese superstar Ryogo Takahashi at ONE: FOR HONOR in Jakarta.
