Martial arts icon Shinya Aoki is on a quest to regain the ONE Lightweight World Title he lost to Eduard Folayang at ONE: DEFENDING HONOR in 2016. The Japanese grappling guru got back on track with yet another submission victory in May, and will be going for his second win in three months when he takes on Thai superstar Shannon Wiratchai at ONE: REIGN OF KINGS in Manila. If he can get past the dangerous striker, Aoki will set his sights on ONE Lightweight World Champion Martin Nguyen, who is competing in the main event of the same card.
