UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture recently signed a multi-year deal with Spike TV to participate in multiple projects for the channel, as well as other ventures for the parent company Viacom. Viacom owns a controlling interest in Bellator, the UFC’s leading competitor.
Couture’s first role will be as a coach on Bellator’s planned reality tv series, which is intended to compete with the UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter.
At a media scrum on Thursday, UFC president Dana White offered his thoughts, relayed by MMAFighting’s Ariel Helwani, via Twitter.
